As many of you know, IES Los Cantos has been selected, together with 5 other schools in Europe, for the implementation of a KA229 ERASMUS + project.
Erasmus + is the EU programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. It provides the opportunity to study, train and gain experience abroad.
What does this project consist of?
For two years, IES Los Cantos will have the opportunity to work, together with 5 other countries, in activities through which we can learn about other ways of life and cultures. We will be able to collaborate in tasks through networks and on-site activities (when the current pandemic situation allows us to do so).
The project is aimed at students in the 4th year of ESO and will last for 2 years. Therefore, these students would continue to participate during the 1st year of Bachillerato, and perhaps the 2nd year of Bachillerato, as there is a possibility that the duration could be extended due to the current pandemic situation.
These 4th ESO students from the 6 countries participating in the project will collaborate in activities in the schools of each of the centres that are part of this project (Spain, Italy, Portugal, Czech Republic, Sweden and Greece). For this purpose, 5 mobilities (trips of about 5 or 6 days) have been scheduled over two years. These trips will be completely free of charge for pupils and accompanying teachers.
In a normal situation, we would already be packing our bags to visit some of them. However, this year, given the situation, we will only be able to get to know each other online and make certain collaborations in the networks. However, all these collaborations will be taken into account for the selection of those students who will be able to travel next year or as soon as the situation allows it.
The main focus of this Erasmus+ is the creation of a media platform.
Students will become journalists and will be in charge of interviews, videos, documentaries, podcasts.
They will write reports and articles about important people of the village, local artists, writers, painters, musicians, etc. They will publicise the most important local products. They will learn about other ways of life, artists, local products in other parts of Europe. It will be a unique experience in which they will be able to meet other students like themselves, but from very different parts of Europe. They will be able to compare and get to know other ways of life.
Since students from different countries will be part of this beautiful project, we will need a unique language in which to communicate. ENGLISH has been chosen as the language of choice. But this will never be an impediment, nor is it the most important thing. What is important is the desire to want to communicate, to travel, to participate in tasks and activities with students and teachers from other countries, to create collaborative activities or to learn how other educational systems work. For all these reasons, 4th ESO students are encouraged to participate in the activities that are proposed.

El proyecto está orientado a alumnos
de 4º de ESO y tendrá una duración de 2 años. Por tanto, estos alumnos
seguirían participando durante 1º de Bachillerato, y quizá 2º de Bachillerato
ya que cabe la posibilidad de que se amplíe el plazo de duración debido a la
situación actual de pandemia.
Estos alumnos de 4º de ESO de los
6 países participantes en el proyecto colaborarán en actividades en los
institutos de cada uno de los centros que forman parte de este proyecto
(España, Italia, Portugal, Chequia, Suecia y Grecia). Para ello se han
programado 5 movilidades (viajes de unos 5 o 6 días) a lo largo de dos años.
Estos viajes serán totalmente gratuitos para los alumnos y profesores
acompañantes.
En una situación normal, ya
estaríamos haciendo las maletas para visitar alguno de ellos. Sin embargo, este
año, dada la situación, solo podremos ir conociéndonos online y haciendo
ciertas colaboraciones en las redes. No obstante, todas estas colaboraciones se
tendrán en cuenta para la selección de aquellos alumnos que podrán viajar el
próximo año o en cuanto la situación lo permita.
El eje principal de este Erasmus
+ es la creación de una plataforma de medios de comunicación.
Los alumnos se convertirán en periodistas y serán los encargados de
realizar entrevistas, videos, documentales, podcasts.
Escribirán informes y artículos
sobre personas importantes del pueblo, artistas locales, escritores, pintores,
músicos, etc. Darán a conocer los más importantes productos locales. Conocerán
otras formas de vida, artistas, productos locales en otros lugares de Europa.
Será una experiencia única en la que podrán conocer a otros alumnos como ellos,
pero de puntos muy diversos de Europa. Así, podrán comparar y conocer otras
formas de vida.
Ya que serán estudiantes de
diversos países los que forman parte de este bonito proyecto, necesitaremos un
idioma único en el que poder comunicarnos. El elegido ha sido el INGLÉS. Pero
no esto nunca será un impedimento, ni es lo más importante. Lo importante son
las ganas de querer comunicarse, de viajar, de participar en tareas y
actividades con alumnos y profesores de otros países, crear actividades
colaborativas o conocer cómo funcionan otros sistemas educativos. Por todo ello
se anima al alumnado de 4º de ESO a participar en las actividades que se vayan
proponiendo.
